Snow Bear Leaving the Snow Behind

Woodcutter-3

As spring approaches ‘The Snow Bear’ is taking a rest until November 2015.

We’ve completed 56 shows in schools, arts centres, village halls, museums, art galleries, a garden, a heritage centre, and a puppet theatre!

Our last show was in the wilds of Etal Northumberland on Friday 20th February.

Let us know if your CD has worn out or you’ve sent all your greetings cards and you want a new one…..

Hearhside Tales are hoping for nominations in the Journal’s Arts and Culture Awards which would help us find funding for a few surprises in the next tour, please consider this, if you’re able to, before the 28th February. We’re eligible for BEST PERFORMANCE and ARTS COUNCIL AWARD categories.

Thanks to all of our audiences (pushing 5000 in total)!

See you when the weather gets cold again….. brr

Snow Bear Selfies: Tour Out West

Snow Bear met the puppets of the Upfront Theatre puppet collection this Saturday. John and Elaine Parkinson gave us a great welcome to their Arts Centre in what was originally Unthank Farm, a squatters’ stronghold from 1680. Fabulous vegetarian food, impressive paintings on the walls of the gallery and a storage room packed with puppets from their previous and current show programme.

An attentive family audience gave the Snow Bear show the thumbs up!

The next day gave us a few hours for a walk on the hills then on to Shap where Janet, promoter for Highlights Rural Touring at the Memorial Hall looked after us royally and brought in an audience of seventy or more who lapped up the stories and puppetry.
